Summer is just around the corner which means it’s time for Peach Tree Rascals to drop another sun-kissed, bop filled EP. They’re like a reverse Michael Bublé, when the heat arrives and glorious sun-rays dance across our skin, they emerge ready to get us feeling like we’re in the tropics with their bliss inducing melodies. Usually this is the part where I’d rant about Does A Fish Know It’s Wet? as a title being not accurate as a fish isn’t wet until they jump out of the water as when they’re in water they’re not technically wet (google it as going into specifics will make my brain hurt), but instead I’m gonna sing my praises of each of these stellar singles. Although with a title like this they should expect at least one review to do it.
Let U Go is perfect for cruising down the highway with the windows down as it’s blasting out of the speakers. When lying down in the sun, getting a sweet tan as the sounds of ocean waves crash onto land, there’s not better track than Moped with its laidback melodies allowing you to relax and take the weight of the world off your shoulders. Good Advice is a serotonin inducer, making smiling feel second nature, and Song From Hell is reminiscent of early 2000’s indie pop, making it near perfect for your next coming of age fantasy. We end on TINYA, a track that ties this whole affair up in a neat little bow and allows us to raise a toast to Peach Tree Rascals, a group who know how to make summer last forever.
